Impossible to call in TVS One Make

The Apache RTR 160 has been the workhorse for TVS Racing’s one make series. It’s been stripped down and designed afresh incorporating lessons from the national championship, helping new talent compete more easily. For 2016, TVS has retired the RTR 160 for the open class and has introduced the brand new RTR 200 4V instead. While the RTR 200 is still in its preliminary stage of track evolution, the bike has tremendous scope for future development.
In 2016, TVS Racing, like Honda, has played an active part in getting female riders involved in the sport. TVS now
has an association with the Alisha Abdullah Training Academy for Women and has devised a format to help women riders race better.
In the novice class, Yashas R L and Yuvaraj S have been neck and neck. Yashas seemed to have found his rhythm in the third round as he won the three races of the weekend. With the 75 points grabbed over the weekend, he had collected 118 points. Yuvaraj is just ten points off the top with three races still left to go while Kamram Alam, with 95 points, has an outside chance to win the series as he currently sits third. 52 points help Aditya Rao sit comfortably in fourth with Tharun Kumar in fifth at a tally of 28 points.
Racing with the new RTR 200, Arvind Ganesh and Kannan K are just two points off each other in the Open class. Both championship contenders were super consistent in the Chennai rounds but both faltered at the BIC. Rahil Peerzade sits third with 88 points. Peerzade has been at the end of some jump start penalties that have affected his finishing positions as well as title chances. T Ramakrishnan and Prashanth Kumar are fourth and fifth with 67 and 57 points respectively.
