Honda commences bookings for 2019 CBU models

Bringing more excitement to riding enthusiasts in India, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt. Ltd. today kicked off bookings for its 2019 CBU (Completely Built Unit) line up, which includes the new CB1000R+, Gold Wing Tour DCT, CBR1000RR Fireblade and Fireblade SP.

Honda CB1000R+

Continuing Honda’s tradition of Japanese craftsmanship, the new CB1000R+ harmoniously blends retro elements with ultra-modern styling, which will appeal to those yearning for performance and style in a sophisticated package

The four-cylinder engine on the CB1000R+ now makes 144bhp of peak power at 10,500rpm and 104Nm at 8,250rpm of torque, giving riders an increase in performance coupled with a chassis that is lighter than the outgoing model. The radical new look is enhanced with a box-section, mono-backbone steel frame, Showa separate function front fork big piston USD Suspension up front and a Showa mono shock at the rear, all of which injects it with a whole new attitude and a lot more fun!

The CB1000R+ also gets a quick shifter, heated grips and a range of pre-fit premium accessories, such as a metallic meter visor and seat cowl, front fender panel, hugger panel and radiator grill, all of which flesh out the CB1000R’s styling.

The Honda CB1000R+ will be available in Graphite Black color and priced at Rs. 14.46 lakh (Ex-showroom, Delhi).

Honda Gold Wing Tour DCT

The Honda Gold Wing has single-handedly defined what a touring bike should be, making it probably the best-known bike in all of motorcycling.

The 2019 Gold Wing is more athletic, giving you a greater sense of being one with the bike. The Gold Wing has a full complement of touring-bike features, like Apple CarPlay integration, an electric windscreen adjustable for both angle and height, and a trunk.

Mechanically, the Goldwing remains the same, save for the inclusion of a creep forward and back function, and idling stop, adding ease of use.

The Honda Goldwing GL1800 DCT will be priced at Rs. 27.79 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

Honda CBR1000RR Fireblade / Fireblade SP

The latest edition of the CBR1000RR Fireblade introduces Wheelie Control System which enhances security during high acceleration. Mechanically the Honda claims the time lag after electric controls has been drastically reduced for better handling at high speeds.

Besides these newly introduced changes, Honda claims the new CBR1000RR will be a better handler. Mechanically the new CBR1000RR remains unchanged, however all engine parameters can be precisely adjusted with the Riding Mode Select System (RMSS).

The Fireblade’s full-color TFT liquid crystal dash, is now inspired by Honda’s street-legal MotoGP machine, the RC213V-S. The Fireblade SP get semi-active Ohlins Electronic Control (S-EC) suspension with 43mm NIX30 inverted forks at the front instead of the Fireblade’s Showa Big Piston Front Fork with preload, compression and rebound adjustment and a TTX36 monoshock at the rear (The Fireblade gets Unit ProLink with gascharged HMAS damper). Also on offer are a quick shifter and downshift assist.

The CBR 1000RR Fireblade will be priced at Rs. 16.43 lakh (Ex-showroom Delhi) while the CBR 1000RR Fireblade SP will be priced at Rs. 19.28 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
