Hero Motosports Team Rally is all set for the last event in this year’s rally calendar – the OiLibya Rally of Morocco. Starting October 5, this is the 18th edition of the OiLibiya Rally and this time riders will have to cover a distance of 2600km, out of which the distance of 1870km will be special stages. The rally is divided into five stages and will take the riders through the most extreme and remote parts of the Moroccan Desert.
Although on paper the OiLibya Rally of Morocco is the last event of the season, and indeed the FIM Cross Country Rally World Champion is yet to be crowned, everyone in the business has already set their sights firmly on the Dakar in January.
Riders Joaquim Rodrigues and C S Santosh will be participating with Hero Motorsports at the OiLibya Rally and also at the Dakar next year. Crucuially, the Hero Motosports team will be running their new motorcycle in this rally. With only three months left for the Dakar, the OiLibya Rally will help the team get crucial saddle time on the new machine.
