Ducati has launched the Scrambler Mach 2.0 motorcycle in India at Rs 8.52 lakh. The new model is designed in collaboration with Rolland Sands, a Californian designer for the paint job. The Scrambler Mach 2.0 takes cues from the original 1960 Scrambler Mach 1.0 which featured a 250cc engine.

The motorcycle gets low set aluminium handlebar, flat track pro dedicated dual finish rounded seat with ‘Ducati’ embossed at the back and a 14-litre metal fuel tank. The rear tail LEDs are positioned underneath the seat. The motorcycle also gets blacked engine heads, blacked aluminium silencer cover and brushed fins compared to the stock bike. The pillion grab rail is also placed under the seat next to the tail light. The bike also gets small under seat storage facility with USB socket. The bike weighs 170kg (dry) and has an accessible saddle height of 790mm.

The motorcycle remains entirely the same under the skin. The L-twin 803cc engine makes 72.4bhp of maximum power and 67Nm of peak torque coupled to a 6-speed gearbox. The Mach 2.0 gets the same steel trellis frame. Suspension duties are handled by Kayaba 41mm upside down forks at the front and a monoshock unit with adjustable preload and rebound damping at the rear. Braking is handled by 330mm disc with 4-piston calliper at the front and 245mm disc with single piston calliper at the rear. The bike is equipped with a dual channel ABS as standard. The 10-spoke alloy wheels are shod with Pirelli MT rubbers. The Mach 2.0 will be sold besides other Scrambler versions that include Icon, Classic and Full Throttle.

Sergi Canovas Garriga, Managing Director of Ducati India, said, “The Ducati Scramblers are the perfect starting point for motorcyclists. It is a contemporary bike that gives the rider pure riding pleasure with the practicality of a modern bike. The Scrambler Mach 2.0 is a very special motorcycle that is a result of our collaboration with Roland and will provide a unique flavour to Scrambler buyers.”
