Avanturaa Choppers opens its first showroom in the country

Avanturaa Choppers, India’s first street legal chopper motorcycle brand, has launched its showroom in Bengaluru. This is the company’s first dealership outlet in the country and two more are expected to follow in Delhi NCR and Hyderabad. The company has received certification from the Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI) for its 2,000cc motorcycles – Rudra and Pravega. Customers can now head to the outlet at Residency Road in Bengaluru for enquiries.

Both the bikes are massive in build; the Rudra is 2,908mm long (!) while the Pravega is ‘shorter’ at 2,006mm. The rake of the former is a mind blowing 38° and the latter is raked out at 34°. Powering the motorcycles is the world’s largest 2,000cc air cooled V-twin engine that cranks out 130bhp and 127Nm, in stock format. The engines are tweaked to produce a slightly less power and torque figures for homologation purposes. The ARAI-certified technical details of the choppers are not yet revealed.

The motorcycles are made in India, with manufacturing location in Vasai, Mumbai. At the test ride nearly a year ago, Vijay Singh, CRO and co-founder who handles the sales, mentioned that there will be eight dealerships by the end of FY2019 in metros like Mumbai, Pune, Bengaluru, Chandigarh, Delhi, Indore, Chennai, Kochi and Kolkata.

At the opening ceremony of the company’s first showroom in the country, Gaurav A. Aggarwal, CEO of Avanturaa Choppers said, “With the launch of our showroom in Bangalore, soon to be followed by other key markets, the realization of our ambition to create a Global impact from India, has begun. The growing culture of leisure-riding in India and the number of connoisseurs pioneering it, give us confidence that the market is ready for Avanturaa Choppers.”

There are no other street legal chopper manufacturers in the country and in that sense, Avanturaa Choppers has no competition in India. They are a niche brand and target a specific set of bikers who look for the Thrill of Riding on the open highways. The tradition of chopper is yet to catch up in India and Avanturaa Choppers is the first home grown company to have kick-started the tradition in the country with the Rudra and Pravega.

While the Pravega retails at Rs 21.40 lakh, the Rudra costs Rs 23.90 lakh (ex-showroom, Mumbai). They are not expensive, considering the top shelf materials that are used for manufacturing the Choppers.
